John Briggs

Head of Macro Strategy

Mr. Briggs is the Head of U.S. Rates Strategy at Natixis CIB in New York City, where he develops actionable strategies for US rates and swaps, enhances client engagement, and guides investment decisions through technical research and market forecasting to inform interest rate scenarios and recommendations.

He is recognized as a leading market analyst with over 25 years of experience in financial services, much of which has been spent managing strategy teams focused on both global and U.S. markets.

Before joining Natixis CIB, John spent 15 years at RBS/NatWest, where he served as Global Head of Economics and Market Strategy, leading a team of 20 strategists worldwide, including London, Milan, Paris, Singapore, Tokyo, and the US. In this role, he was responsible for developing and communicating the global strategy call, as well as overseeing the U.S. rates and macro outlook.

Before joining RBS in 2010, John held various positions at fixed income hedge funds, including Head Trader at Capra Asset Management and Senior Portfolio Manager at Prologue Capital.

Mr. Briggs holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Bucknell University and an M.S. in Financial Risk Management from the University of Connecticut.

Zoltan Pozsar

Zoltan is the Founder and CEO of Ex Uno Plures, a macroeconomic advisory firm specializing in funding and interest rate markets. Prior to establishing Ex Uno Plures in 2023, Zoltan held key positions in the private and public sectors. From 2015 to 2023, he was a managing director, the Global Head of Short-Term Interest Rate Strategy, and a member of the Investment Committee at Credit Suisse based in New York.

Before his tenure at Credit Suisse, Zoltan was a senior advisor at the U.S. Department of the Treasury and worked as a visiting scholar at the International Monetary Fund. During the Great Financial Crisis, he played a pivotal role as the Head of Market Intelligence for Securitized Funding Markets at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (FRBNY), where his work involved liaising with senior officials at the White House, the Treasury, and the Federal Reserve Board, and making the case for, designing and operationalizing the Term Asset-Backed Securities Loan Facility (TALF) to stabilize ABS markets.

Zoltan’s expertise and insights have had a lasting impact on policymakers and investors worldwide. In 2009, while at FRBNY, he created the map of the shadow banking system, which prompted the G20 to initiate regulatory measures in this area. Today, Zoltan is widely recognized as one of the most influential investment strategists globally.

Zachary Rose

Zach is Managing Director, Head of Macro Sales Americas at Natixis CIB. He manages the US Rates, FX, EM and Commodities sales and structuring teams facing public and private side clients. He actively designs and implements strategies to grow our macro business including client onboarding and new product development.

He is an Insurance expert with over 15 years of experience covering the industry for Rates and FX derivatives. Before joining Natixis CIB, Zach was Head of Macro Sales at Mizuho in New York, where he also served as Head of Rate Sales and in the Institutional Derivatives Sales group.

Before that, he spent over nine years at Credit Suisse as a Managing Director in Interest Rate Sales.

He holds a B.A. from Bucknell University and an M.S. in Financial Risk Management from the University of Connecticut.
